As a reminder, dance classes will begin next week, October 17 & 18!  I hope your children are excited and ready for another fun and exciting dance season! 

Important Reminders & Notes
  • Students should wait patiently in the school hallway until the door to the stage is opened and it is time for their class.
  • Parents, guardians and siblings who wish to remain on-site may wait quietly in the hallway or cafeteria while their dancer is in class.  Children should not run or play unsupervised in the school.
  • Parking is available in the front circle drive and the west parking lot.  Please only park in valid parking spots and do not block the reserved spaces for buses, etc.
  • Classes will be held at your regular class times the week of Halloween.  Dancers may wear their Halloween costumes to class that week.
  • New for 2011 - Students who practice their routines at home each week will be rewarded with a small treat at the end of the session.  Additional information and a practice grid will be sent home with students next week to help them keep track of their practices.  Please help your child set aside time to practice at home.

2011-2012 Schedule

See below for a summary of the IGNITE! schedule for 2011-2012.  Please note that some dates are still tentative and subject to change.  Due to the date of recital, a two-week pre-recital mini-session has been added to the schedule after our 2nd 8-week session to help students prepare for our final performance.  Tuition for the pre-recital mini-session will be $16.25 for 30-minute classes and $19.50 for 1-hour classes, which was prorated at the regular 8-week session rates.  As a reminder, session tuition is due the first week of each session.

Week of Dec 5, 2011:      Last classes for session #1 (end of 1st 8 weeks)

Week of Dec 12, 2011:    Holiday break begins (no classes)

Week of Jan 23, 2012:    Holiday break ends

Week of Jan 30, 2012:    Session #2 classes begin (start of 2nd 8 weeks)

Feb 4, 2012 (Sat):          9:00 am -12:00 pm:  Photos with Cat’s Cradle Photography @ theater (class time slots TBD)

Feb 10, 2012 (Fri):         Performance at Heartland BB game vs. Milford @ Henderson (time TBD)

Feb 25, 2012 (Sat):        1:00 pm:  Performance at Henderson Home Show @ Heartland’s north gym

Week of Mar 19, 2012:   Last classes for session #2 (end of 2nd 8 weeks)

Week of Mar 26, 2012:   No classes (spring break)

Weeks of Apr 2 & 9:       Two-week pre-recital session begins @ Heartland School Theater (tuition pro-rated)

                                    Note:  Mon, Apr 9 classes will be held on Thurs, Apr 12 due to the Easter holidays

Apr 14, 2012 (Sat):        8:45- 11:30 am:  Rehearsal for spring dance recital @ Heartland School Theater

Apr 15, 2012 (Sun):       3:00-4:00 pm:  Recital @ Heartland School Theater
